Day 49: Sunday at Brooklyn Flea

In Brooklyn, Brooklyn Bridge, NYC Fleamarkets, NYC for free, NYC Shopping, things to do in NYC on July 19, 2009 at 11:41 pm

Something old, something new, something…patterned, something blue. Some of New York’s best shopping can be found at outdoor flea markets where vendors of both old and new come out to sell their wares. On Sundays, Brooklyn Flea sets up shop under the Brooklyn Bridge, where shoppers get a day to browse the quirky and cool while admiring the unbelievably picturesque view of the majestic bridge and Manhattan beyond. With tables selling everything from stationery and clothing to jewelry, architectural salvage, crafts and handmade items, it’s just as easy to spend a little as it is a lot. Even if you’re not spending at all, it’s a great day in the summer sun with inspiration on every corner.
